Tablets Latest

Mercury Launches Android Based Mtab
So as you know, in the past, a few affordable Android tablets have showed up in India, and to name few we would like to include the Reliance Tab 3GBeetel Magiq and the Magnum Pepper Tablet PC. Adding to this list is the new Mercury mTab which is packed with some decent features and is priced at 9,499 INR.
In regards to the specifications the tablet runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 7-inch display WVGA TFT LCD touchscreen. Now we ‘ll move to its 1.2 GHz triple core processor, which we highly doubt and even if it does include something like a triple core processor, it may not be the actual thing. Apart from this, the Mercury mTab has 512 MB RAM, 4 GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB, optional 3G, WiFi and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.
We did some research on the same and found an Android based Chinese tablet which may be powered by the same processor. According to the company the tablet should be available in the market shortly (we would be waiting) and will come with a one year warranty. Let us know your thoughts about this new tablet device.

New Honey Comb Based Toshiba Tablet Leaked
Toshiba has already revealed three tablets in the market. However, here is another Android tablet from Toshiba, which is expected to be displayed at IFA 2011. The name of this upcoming tablet is still a mystery and so are its specifications.
What we know from the screenshots is that the tablet is slimmer than the former models from the company and its runs Android Honeycomb. It also includes a microUSB port, microSD card slot and an HDMI port. Additionally, it has a front facing camera and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

 Sony Tablets

Sony is planning to launch a new range of tablets next year.
The two mentioned so far, theSony tablet S and Tablet P, will both run Android applications  and will be expected to shake the gradually flooding tablet market.
So far, the leaked reports from Sony indicate that the tablets will be lighter in weight than the iPads, that is 370grams against iPad’s 601 grams. The Sony tablet P is expected to have 512 Ram and about 4 GB capacity for storage excluding the 2 GB SD memory card. The Sony Tablet S is slightly bigger with I GB Ram and a choice of either 16GB or 32GB storage capacity.
Both critics and users eagerly await the two tablets even though nobody knows the estimated cost of each of the tablets, a factor which is going to make a huge difference to the devices’ success.

The new Sony Tablet S is a first series of tablets from Sony . Sony Tablet S will be running the latest Android HoneyComb (v3.1) OS . There are two Sony Tablets slated to be launched soon . One will be a slate-design 9.4-inch multi-touch and the second will be a stylish and compact fold-able dual touchscreen display . Both are premium built tablets and are designed fashionably .                    Amazon To Launch Its Android Tablet Within 2 Months

A brand new entrant in to the field of tablet is expected as early as next month. Amazon is that new entrant with its Android tablet.
Little is leaked on the specification of this tablet from Amazon but it is sure going to be cheap: speculations suggest the tablet will be priced as low as $250 against the Apple’s iPad that sells at around $500.
Analysts say that the cheap tablets will not necessary compete with the high-end tablets like Apple’s Samsung, Motorola and HTC. However the more the cheaper tablets find their way into the market the more they share the users and intensify on competition.
Amazon is expected to launch other smaller applications together with the Tablet.

New 99$ Android Tablet Launched In India
The Indian market is lately buzzing with affordably priced Android tablets. Just this month Bharti Enterprises unveiled its Beetel Magiq and Reliance unveiled its Reliance Tab 3G. Now, there is a Bangalore based company called Lakshmi Access Communication Systems (LACS) which have launched yet another Android based tablet in the Indian market. The great news is that this particular device is priced as low as $99 (around 5,000 INR).
This is a 7-inch tablet device called the Magnum Pepper Tablet PC, which runs Android 2.2 FroYo. It is unclear whether it has a capacitive or a resistive touchscreen our money is on resistive and of course, we will update you once this is clarified.

Furthermore, the tablet is powered by an 800 MHz processor, it includes 256 MB of RAM, WiFi connectivity, USB 2.0 port and a RJ45 LAN port for wired internet connectivity. It lacks 3G support, but the company has mentioned that it is 3G dongle compatible. Additionally, it supports microSD card up to 32 GB, has a front facing camera and 2GB of built-in storage.

Now, this tablet is definitely quite obsolete due to it is low specifications, but we are still quite impressed with this device as they have tried to compensate for the lack of some hardware, and it is priced incredibly low.
